Do I need a referral?

For private paying patients referrals are not necessary. For worker's compensation, motor vehicle accident, DVA and chronic disease management patients an up to date referral is required on the day of your initial appointment.

How long are the appointments?

Our initial appointments are 40 minutes to allow a full assessment of your condition as well as the opportunity to development a treatment and/or exercise plan. Any standard follow up appointment is 20 minutes unless otherwise requested.

Is there parking available on site?

Yes, the St John of God Murdoch Hospital complex offers paid parking for all patients. The best option is to enter using Gate 2 as this car park is directly in front of the Wexford Medical Clinic. You will receive a ticket upon entry of the carpark that you will need to use to pay the parking fee as you leave the clinic. Payment machines are located on the Lower Ground floor of the Wexford Clinic and also in front of the Murdoch Clinic. For more information please visit the St John of God Murdoch Hospital website.

How often will I need to attend?

The number and frequency of appointment is different for each patient and condition. Our physios will not see you more than is medically necessary and will aim to progress to a home based program where possible.

What should I bring and wear to my first appointment?

Please bring your referral with you as well as any scans you have had relating to the injury. Wear comfortable clothes. If your injury relates to walking or running please bring or wear the shoes that you exercise in.
